The 10th edition of the Abu Dhabi Air Expo’s successful conclusion strengthened the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s position as a significant regional hub for aviation. Twenty thousand attendees, including owners, operators, suppliers, and media members from domestic and international aerospace firms, attended the exciting conference panels and browsed the exhibition throughout the three-day event.
The official airline sponsor, Etihad, welcomed visitors to its chalet, where it presented an Airbus A321 aircraft on static and its sustainability initiatives, charter services, and medical evacuation skills.
Panelists from Etihad significantly contributed to the conference agenda by discussing sustainability, workforce concerns, and the post-pandemic aviation picture.
Eminent figures from the aviation community, including Joscha Kremers, Chief Aviation Transportation & Logistics Section – United Nations, Mr. Badr Al Olama, Executive Director of Mubadala, who moderated the panel on the future growth and developments in aviation, and Mr. Kashish Kohli, Group Chief Financial Officer – SANAD, joined Etihad at the premier conference. The first day’s seminars, which supported diversity in the sector, focused on the potential for women in aviation and welcomed Ms. Merhat Sultan, the Middle Eastern Women in Aviation president.
The United Arab Emirates Air Force’s aerobatics demonstration team, Al Fursan, and local skydivers who dropped in on National UAE Flag Day and displayed the Emirates’ red, white, and green on their silks provided breathtaking air displays for the audience.
Magzoid Magazine, as one of the official media partners, organized an art exhibition in the venue with artists Naeel Arhaj and Hajar Mohammed.
The Abu Dhabi Air Expo intends to promote Abu Dhabi’s growth as an aviation center. The following exhibition and conference are planned for March 2–4, 2024.
