John Munro, an immersive artist, unveiled 50/50, a significant digital art project ahead of Stockholm+50. The artwork, which was created in collaboration with the UN Science-Policy-Business Forum and art patron Jonathan Lett, was on exhibit in Stockholm’s Kungstradgarden from June 1 to 3.
Inger Andresen, Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme says, “We cannot overestimate the power of art, music, and culture to bring to life the devastation that we are doing to our natural environment and motivate action to redefine our relationship with nature”. 50/50 by John Munro creates a message of hope using accurate planetary datasets provided by UN scientists. It’s a combination of art and science. And it’s a strong call to action.”
