As part of Regards de France, a multifaceted exhibition, Sofitel Dubai Downtown is organising an exclusive event in partnership with E M A Agency that explores the “art of living” the French way, or “L’Art de Vivre.”
The gorgeous lobby and L’Apero restaurant of the Sofitel Dubai Downtown, a French hotelier in the UAE, have been refurbished with works of bespoke art, standing art installations, paintings, and other pieces on show.
Vibrant French works of art are on display at the exhibition, which runs from September 15 to October 15, along with live performances and weekly painting classes. It showcases France’s vibrant, diverse culture and engages visitors in a tête-à-tête with the artists through more than 20 art installations!
Quentin Desmit: A plastic artist and sculptor working in the UAE, Quentin was born in France and raised in Belgium and England in the 1980s, where his passion in the arts first took off. He plays with the Dubai architectural landscape to produce spectacular, iconic work using a variety of methods, including painting, sculpture, computer art, and photography.
Leiana: Leiana draws inspiration from pop and abstract art and enjoys experimenting with vibrant colours, light, textures, and movement to portray enthusiasm, energy, and happiness. She tries out several techniques until she gets the “wow” reaction.
Julié Custom Art: Through her artistic expressions, this clothing designer and artist gives clothing sentimental significance. Julié incorporates the nostalgic quality of stories and memories into her art by drawing inspiration from narrative and memory. She also creates on canvas using a variety of unique ideas.
On October 15, the exhibition will come to an end with a performance by the artists in the style of “Art de France,” live entertainment throughout the evening, and beverages provided after 8 p.m.
