Bowers & Wilkins has teamed up with Abbey Road Studios to release the 801 Abbey Road Limited Edition loudspeaker, celebrating a 45-year collaboration that began in 1980. The commemorative release is limited to just 140 pairs worldwide and is based on the award-winning 801 D4 Signature model.
Each speaker reflects the legacy of Abbey Road, often called the “home of music making,” with styling drawn from the legendary recording spaces. Finished in Vintage Walnut and trimmed with red Leather by Connolly, the design pays tribute to Studio Two’s control room and its distinctive red chairs used by performers.
Luxury Details and Studio-Level Audio Performance
Priced at £55,000 GBP (around $70,000 USD), the 801 Abbey Road Limited Edition offers reference-level sound quality in a cabinet designed as much for listening as for legacy. Every purchase includes a special hardcover book chronicling the history of both Bowers & Wilkins and Abbey Road Studios. The book features never-before-seen photographs and historical insights into their decades-long partnership.
Abbey Road engineers first selected John Bowers’ original 801 loudspeakers in 1980 as their preferred studio monitors—a decision that cemented the long-standing relationship between the two audio giants.
The speakers are available for order now, offering audiophiles a rare opportunity to own a piece of music history, shaped by the very studio where legendary records were born.
