Christiane Peschek is a renowned contemporary artist whose works are characterized by a fusion of digital and physical elements that create a phygital world. Her artistic practice explores the concept of fluid identities and self-idealization in a post-internet reality.

Peschek’s artworks feature images and multi-sensory spatial concepts that create intimate dialogues between the viewer and the art. She explores the observation of the body on both sides of the screen, revealing a world where virtual and physical realities merge to create a new space for artistic expression.

Through her projects, Peschek delves into the fluidity of identities in the digital age. She creates rituals, retreats, and retouched images that explore the theme of self-sacralization. She also employs sensual ethereal materials, such as the deliberate use of Wi-fi radiation and low frequencies, to transform the virtual experience into a hybrid of virtual and physical reality.

Peschek’s artistic practice also revolves around exploring near-body technologies such as smartphones to create a hyper-ego experience that intersects technology and cosmology. The surface of touchscreens is used to create immersive experiences that bridge the physical and digital worlds, allowing viewers to explore the art from a new perspective.

The work of Christiane Peschek works have been exhibited in galleries and institutions around the world, including the NRW Forum Düsseldorf, Museum Marta Herford, Benaki Museum Athens, and Kunsthaus Graz. Her works are found in several collections, such as the ING DiBa Art Collection, Artothek des Bundes Museum Belvedere21, Museum für Moderne Kunst Salzburg, and Kupferstichkabinett Vienna.

Christiane Peschek’s art creates a unique blend of physical and digital elements that challenge traditional notions of identity and artistic expression. Her works explore the fluidity of identities in the digital age, using technology to create a new space for artistic expression that is both intimate and immersive. Her exhibitions have received critical acclaim, and her artworks are held in high regard by collectors and institutions around the world.
