The inaugural edition of “Emirates Loves Palestine” will open on Saturday, 29th August, at Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai, with more than 20,000 participants expected to attend.
The event will take place in the presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. Moreover, the gathering will bring together members of the Palestinian community, visitors, and cultural participants.
Celebrating Palestinian culture and heritage
Organised by the “Emirates Loves Palestine” page, the event is being held in partnership with the UAE-Palestinian Friendship Club and the Palestinian Business Council – Dubai & Northern Emirates.
Furthermore, the event forms part of the wider “Emirates Loves” series, which celebrates resident communities across the UAE. The series highlights their cultures, heritage and contributions to society.
The inaugural edition focuses on the Palestinian community in the UAE. Additionally, it aims to deepen social and cultural ties while showcasing the longstanding bonds of friendship between the Emirati and Palestinian peoples.
Therefore, the event will create a community-focused setting that reflects tolerance, coexistence and cultural diversity within UAE society.
Arts, performances and community participation
The programme will feature a broad selection of artistic and cultural performances. These will highlight different aspects of Palestinian culture and heritage through songs, music, folk arts and comedy shows.
Participating Palestinian artists include Mohammed Assaf and comedian Imad Farajin, as well as several artistic and community figures.
Moreover, visitors will have access to Palestinian heritage displays, crafts and arts. The event will also feature a platform for homegrown projects developed by community members.
Additionally, a dedicated area for traditional Palestinian cuisine will offer visitors a broader cultural experience. As a result, the programme will combine entertainment, heritage and community participation on a single platform.
“Emirates Loves Palestine” reflects the UAE’s approach to promoting tolerance, coexistence and cultural openness, as well as its commitment to providing an inclusive community environment for all resident communities, strengthening human connection and bringing cultures closer together.
