Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Land and Real Estate Regulation Department, has launched the Huwiyyah Tubna (An Identity Being Built) initiative, a new programme that aims to preserve and promote the emirate’s cultural heritage by integrating traditional architectural elements into future real estate developments.

The initiative seeks to strengthen Emirati architectural identity while encouraging developers to incorporate heritage-inspired design into contemporary residential and commercial projects across Ajman.

Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stressed the importance of preserving the emirate’s historic architectural legacy while embracing modern urban development. He said the initiative encourages creative architectural designs that reflect the evolution of Ajman’s built environment amid its ongoing urban growth.

Initiative supports Ajman Vision 2030

According to the Chairman, Huwiyyah Tubna supports the leadership’s vision of reinforcing the foundations of Emirati national identity, with particular emphasis on architectural heritage as a link between the nation’s cultural history and future development.

The initiative also aligns with the objectives of Ajman Vision 2030, which identifies the preservation of Emirati national identity as a key pillar of sustainable development. Through this approach, the programme aims to ensure future generations remain connected to the emirate’s cultural heritage and community values while supporting contemporary urban expansion.

Heritage-led design to enhance quality of life

Sheikh Abdulaziz also highlighted the role of architecture in creating a competitive real estate sector that enhances the quality of life across residential communities and mixed-use developments.

The initiative promotes design strategies that balance heritage with innovation, thereby strengthening Ajman’s position as a modern city offering high-quality living environments. At the same time, it seeks to ensure future real estate projects respond to the evolving needs and aspirations of residents while celebrating the emirate’s architectural identity.
