Chuck Close said, “Inspiration is for amateurs. The rest of us just show up and get the work done. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you’re not going to make an awful lot of work.” Art is something we all connect with. Art is inspired by nature. Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. Art transforms everything into marvelous pieces. Art that is created from the heart is aesthetically appealing.
Joan Miro says, “I try to apply colors like words that shape poems, like notes that shape music”. Having been inspired by this maestro, Luciano Cian, the Brazil-based artist attempts to communicate phenomenon’s like ‘power’ and ‘beauty’ through his work, as the colors in his paintings seem to embrace your contemplation.
Cian started painting at the age of 18 and through his career of 29 years, he is proud to have reached a very diverse audience and being able to do what he truly believes in. While he believes his career has developed through several influences, he specializes in painting, drawing and urban intervention. The current art trend he follows is mixed art. If one starts looking at his works, they can simply get lost in it. He is a fine artist with incredible skills and experiences. His artistry suggests peace and power together forge meaningful connections in the world around us. Many of us struggle with communicating our emotions and through his artistry he sends a very strong message.
The pandemic had a significant impact on all of us. For Cian, the pandemic has directed him to dedicate more time to art. Given the subjectivity that is inherent to its subject, Cian is famous for holding the view that art is essential to broaden the understanding of things. He says just like poetry, art is fundamental to activate new feelings, new thoughts and above all, new horizon. He wants other artists to know that they must insist on what they believe in and strive to produce more and more artworks because in art there is no right or wrong, beautiful or ugly, political or non-political – nothing is binary; everything is possible and there is only one person capable of producing your art – and that is you.
The message he wants to send to his fellow artists is, “insist on what you believe and produce more, more and more”. According to him, “Art is important to broaden the understanding of things. Like poetry, art is fundamental to instigate new feelings, new thoughts and, above all, new horizons.”
