Christian Louboutin has made a historic move by naming Jaden Smith as the first-ever Creative Director for its men’s line. Since the house’s founding in 1991, only Christian Louboutin himself has held creative leadership, making Smith’s appointment a landmark moment for the brand.
Blending heritage with modern vision
At 27, Smith brings a fresh perspective to the iconic house, merging its classic elegance with modern utility and wearability. Louboutin praised Smith’s humility and originality, noting their shared approach to design and creativity. “I found him very interesting, very kind, and above all, very humble,” Louboutin said.
Smith reflected on the appointment, describing it as “one of the biggest honors of my life” and acknowledging the responsibility of continuing Louboutin’s legacy while injecting his own vision. “I can’t wait to show the world what we’ve been working on. The universe of Christian Louboutin men’s has so much potential,” he added.
Upcoming debut
Smith’s first collection will debut in January with an avant-premiere at select Louboutin stores and online, ahead of a full seasonal release at Paris Fashion Week. The FW26 collection will follow, hitting stores in May 2026. The appointment signals a bold new chapter for the house, blending its storied heritage with Smith’s contemporary influence.
