Technology company Meta has introduced its first fully in-house-designed AI smart glasses, expanding its wearable technology portfolio with three new frame styles that emphasize affordability, ergonomics, and everyday usability.
The new Meta Glasses collection includes Meta Adventurer, Meta Fury, and Meta Glasses, the latter developed in collaboration with entrepreneur and influencer Kylie Jenner. Each model integrates miniature cameras, open-ear speakers, microphones, and voice-controlled artificial intelligence within lightweight eyewear frames.
Meta expands wearable design beyond Ray-Ban collaboration
The launch marks Meta’s first smart glasses released under its own brand following earlier collaborations with Ray-Ban. While previous Ray-Ban Meta models introduced AI features and an integrated display, the new collection represents Meta’s move into independently branded consumer hardware.
The company noted that the glasses were developed in partnership with EssilorLuxottica, the parent company of Ray-Ban.

“Meta Glasses push the boundaries on dimensions, weight balance, and interior composition to deliver the same level of technical performance as our best-selling AI glasses,” said the company.
Unlike the latest Ray-Ban Meta Display glasses, the new collection omits an integrated in-lens screen while retaining the core AI capabilities. A power switch sits along one temple, while six microphones, open-ear speakers, and dual 100-degree ultra-wide cameras are seamlessly embedded into the frames.
The glasses use Meta’s Muse Spark AI model, introduced in April 2026, enabling users to capture photos and videos, make phone calls, answer voice queries, and access AI-powered assistance without a smartphone.
AI features include live translation and personalized voice interaction
Meta has also expanded multilingual capabilities with a built-in live translation system supporting 20 languages, including 14 recently added languages such as Arabic and Russian.
According to the company, the collection offers “distinct silhouettes that suit different faces, moods, and occasions” and is available in multiple frame colours and lens options. The glasses also feature water- and dust-resistant construction for everyday use.

The Kylie Jenner edition reflects the entrepreneur’s personal aesthetic and introduces exclusive software features, including “Meta AI powered by Kylie’s own voice.” Additional design details include a custom sparkling chime that plays when the glasses are switched on and off.
“This is the first time she’s been involved in shaping the actual hardware design of an AI glasses product,” said Meta.
More affordable wearable technology with all-day battery life
All three models recharge using a dedicated carrying case that functions similarly to a wireless earbuds charging case. Meta says the glasses provide up to eight hours of battery life on a single charge.
Priced from $299, the collection is positioned below the current Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 models, which retail for approximately $499, making the new range Meta’s most affordable AI eyewear to date.
The launch comes as competition in AI-powered wearable technology intensifies. Companies including Google, Samsung, and Apple are accelerating development of AI-integrated consumer devices, with Google also preparing to launch its next generation of AI smart glasses through partnerships with Samsung, Gentle Monster, and Warby Parker.
