MillerKnoll (NASDAQ: MLKN), a global leader in modern design, has announced the opening of two flagship locations this month in New York and London. These new spaces will bring together the company’s renowned design brands, establishing top-tier design hubs in two of the world’s leading creative cities.
Both locations will feature contract showrooms and retail stores from MillerKnoll’s extensive portfolio, showcasing the company’s continued commitment to building world-class design destinations. These hubs aim to inspire employees, offer convenient access to the latest design innovations, and provide clients and the design community with a dynamic experience.
“This is truly an exciting milestone for our collective,” said Andi Owen, CEO of MillerKnoll. “We’re thrilled to showcase the full breadth of our design portfolio in such creative and innovative locations in London and New York. We’re taking the approach of locating brands next to each other based on feedback from design partners, dealers, and customers. We look forward to the collaboration these spaces will facilitate as we continue to redefine modern design.”
MillerKnoll London is situated in the heart of Clerkenwell, a key district within the UK’s design community. This is MillerKnoll’s first major destination outside of the United States, offering three floors covering 1,700 square meters. The site will feature contract showrooms and stores from iconic brands like Knoll, Herman Miller, and Maharam. The MillerKnoll Studio will also serve as a working showroom, showcasing a unified modern workplace approach.
Ben Groom, President, International Contract at MillerKnoll, highlighted the international growth potential, saying, “The opening of MillerKnoll London is just one step we’re taking to offer an enhanced experience to our customers across the United Kingdom and Europe.”
Located at The Sans on St John’s Square, MillerKnoll London is also close to other showrooms, including those of Muuto, NaughtOne, and HAY.
MillerKnoll New York is positioned in the vibrant Gramercy area. Spanning 11 floors and more than 7,000 square meters, this flagship location combines contract showrooms, retail stores, and corporate office spaces. Leading brands such as Knoll, Herman Miller, Geiger/DatesWeiser, Muuto, and Maharam will all be represented, with a dedicated MillerKnoll Studio highlighting additional brands like HAY and NaughtOne.
“MillerKnoll New York offers our customers, A+D partners, and dealers a convenient and unparalleled experience to engage with the best of our collective under one roof,” said Ben Watson, Chief Creative and Product Officer at MillerKnoll. “We’re immensely proud of this new design hub and can’t wait to use it as a forum to share insights, innovations, and ideas that meet our customers’ most pressing needs and inspire the future through design.”
Set in the historic 1910 Renaissance-revival building at 251 Park Avenue South, the location has been a home for various MillerKnoll brands over the last century. The new contract showrooms will be open for scheduled customer tours starting in late September, and the Herman Miller and Knoll retail stores are already operational.
A New Chapter in Global Design Experiences
With the opening of these new hubs, Knoll has unveiled its first international retail store in London, complementing its recently refreshed showrooms in Chicago and Dallas. Both the New York and London spaces are designed to reflect the brand’s core principles while featuring locally inspired architectural elements, colours, and finishes.
Herman Miller, on the other hand, has refreshed its New York showroom and introduced new retail spaces in London. These environments offer a modern approach to living and working, aligning with the brand’s holistic design ethos.
Additionally, Geiger and DatesWeiser’s New York presence will showcase high-end private office and conference designs, along with customizable solutions tailored to the location, such as a custom reception desk and executive office furniture. Muuto’s unique showroom expression in New York emphasizes its Scandinavian design philosophy, combining aesthetics, functionality, and craftsmanship with bold creativity.
