Pirate Gold Poker, in collaboration with Lionsgate, has introduced the John Wick Poker Official Collector’s Set, a design-led gaming object that translates the franchise’s visual language into a tactile tabletop format. Drawing from the mythos of John Wick, the release positions collectible gaming as an extension of cinematic world-building.
Material Design and Cinematic Reference
At the center of the set are 50 uncirculated Continental Gold Coins, modeled after the currency used within the film’s fictional underworld. Each coin weighs 30 grams and features a dual matte and mirror-polish finish, thereby emphasizing both material value and visual contrast. As a result, the coins function not only as gameplay elements but also as sculptural objects.
The set also includes 250 casino-grade clay composite chips, engineered with DeadDrop technology to enhance acoustic and tactile qualities. Weighing 11 grams each, the chips are produced in denominations of 1, 5, 10, and 20. Consequently, the design prioritizes sensory feedback, aligning gameplay with the precision-driven aesthetic associated with the franchise.
Industrial Craft and Object Assembly
A defining feature of the collection is the Signature Dealer Stack, a modular system crafted from forged aluminum. Comprising Small Blind, Big Blind, and a two-part Dealer Token, the components are CNC-machined and hard-anodized, with laser-etched detailing. Moreover, the pieces can be assembled into a unified totem, introducing a performative dimension to gameplay as stakes increase.

In addition, the set includes two PVC collector’s decks in Black-on-Black and Red-on-Black colorways. These cards incorporate graphic motifs referencing weaponry from the first film, thereby extending the franchise’s visual identity into graphic design. Therefore, each component contributes to a cohesive material narrative rooted in cinematic symbolism.
Collectible Design and Display Culture
Beyond gameplay, the set is conceived as a collectible artifact. All elements are housed within a reinforced polymer case featuring a cut-to-fit EVA foam inlay, a metal insignia, and an individually serialized certificate of authenticity. As a result, the packaging reinforces the object’s status within collector culture, where presentation and preservation are integral to value.
By merging industrial design, material craft, and cinematic storytelling, the John Wick Poker Official Collector’s Set reflects a broader trend in which entertainment properties expand into design-led objects. Consequently, the release underscores how film narratives increasingly extend into physical, collectible formats that operate at the intersection of design, branding, and fan engagement.
