Ruby Chishti, born in 1963 in Jhang, Pakistan, is an accomplished artist known for her captivating sculptures and installations that explore themes of human existence, migration, Islamic myths, gender politics, memory, love, loss, and the essence of being human. With a career spanning over 20 years, Chishti has established herself as a talented representational sculptor.
Formally educated at the National College of Art in Lahore, Pakistan, Chishti’s artistic practice has been shaped by her experiences and studies. Her work delves into the profound concepts of tenacity and fragility, juxtaposing elements that evoke deep emotions and contemplation.
