Mohamed Diab and Amro Ashour, UAE-based tech entrepreneurs, have launched a unique e-commerce platform called DiarBid that provides innovative solutions for artists, antique collectors, and those selling high-value home items. The platform offers users maximum value from selling unique and used furniture, valuable antiques, outstanding paintings, rare collectables, and other high-value items. DiarBid’s auctioning platform, direct buying and selling, and delivery and installation services offer a full-circle solution for users.

DiarBid’s Co-Founder and Business Development Manager, Mohamed Diab, said that the platform was created to fill a gap in the market. Users can grab the best deals on valuable pre-owned furniture and home items through a highly-regulated bidding process, and the platform provides on-the-spot quotations for premium house moving and packaging services. Users can buy, sell, or relocate from the convenience and comfort of their homes with one account.

DiarBid is unlike other online listing platforms in the market, as it ensures quality and authenticity with thorough screenings and stringent regulation processes towards each listing and transaction. Each listed lot has a monetary hold placed on it, valued at 5% of the seller’s target price, and a 10% hold of the buyer’s bid value until approved. The platform’s premium relocation partner offers delivery and installation services and acts as a physical quality control to ensure that the items are in the condition as advertised by the seller.

The platform was developed in partnership with Dubai-based digital agency Wisdom IT Solutions, which provided an exceptional online user experience. Diab and Amrou prioritized user experience when developing the platform’s framework. DiarBid currently operates in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, with plans to expand to the remainder of the UAE and GCC, starting with Saudi Arabia in June 2024.

In addition to its auctioning activities, DiarBid also provides relocation services for homes and offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah through a professional and competitively-priced third-party associate. Users can receive an estimated quotation generated on the spot and book and pay for the service online. The platform provides a comprehensive solution that is secure, reliable, and authentic, with all transactions done online through wire transfers.
