The Ministry of Culture in Diriyah, which produced the Jax Arts Festival, concluded its programme with a session on “The Importance of Constructive Criticism in Art.”
Jalal Al-Talib, an art critic, hosted the seminar at the Diriyah Biennial Foundation, where the festival took place.
Al-Talib spoke about constructive criticism in relation to the performing and visual arts. He claimed that a critic’s duties also included critiquing various art institutions, such as literary groups and cultural societies, in addition to analysing paintings and other works of art.
This past weekend marked the end of the 10-day Jax Arts Festival, which showcased a range of immersive art.
