Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre is preparing an extensive programme of cultural activities, immersive exhibitions, and family-focused experiences for Eid Al Adha, as the landmark mosque anticipates large numbers of worshippers and international visitors during the holiday period.
The celebrations combine spiritual observance with public cultural programming designed to transform the mosque into an interactive destination for visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Consequently, the Centre continues to position the mosque not only as a religious site but also as a major cultural and architectural landmark within the UAE.
“The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre is preparing to welcome its guests during the Eid Al Adha holiday in an atmosphere that revives the blessed spirit of the occasion and spreads joy among all visitors.”
The Centre stated that preparations include a fully integrated operational system focused on accessibility, visitor flow, safety, and cultural engagement. Moreover, the programme aligns with the UAE’s “Year of Community” initiative through activities encouraging participation, dialogue, and shared cultural experiences.
Throughout Eid, visitors will encounter continuous Eid Takbeerat resonating across the mosque, the Peace Dome, and Souq Al Jami. In addition, the destination offers more than 68 retail outlets, restaurants, cafés, and entertainment facilities designed to support extended family visits during the celebrations.
Light & Peace Museum and Diya Experience Highlight Islamic Civilisation
A central feature of the Eid programme is the Light & Peace Museum, which presents an immersive exploration of Islamic civilisation through multimedia installations, artefacts, and interactive exhibitions. Furthermore, the museum focuses on themes of coexistence, creativity, tolerance, and spirituality through five thematic sections.
“Visitors can also embark on a captivating journey at the “Light & Peace Museum,” which presents an immersive sensory narrative encouraging interaction with its cultural content while fostering dialogue among cultures and civilizations.”

The museum sections include Values of Tolerance – The Flow of Light, Sanctity and Worship – The Three Mosques, and Beauty and Mastery – The Spirit of Creativity. Therefore, the exhibition framework combines historical interpretation with experiential storytelling technologies.
The Centre also introduces the immersive Diya Interactive Experience A World of Light, a 360-degree audio-visual environment that uses advanced lighting systems and digital media to convey the mosque’s broader message of intercultural dialogue and human connection.
“Adding to the inspiration is the immersive ‘Diya Interactive Experience – A World of Light,’ a 360-degree sensory presentation conveying the mosque’s civilisational message through advanced visual storytelling and innovative technology.”
Exclusive Eid Tours Offer Insight Into Architecture and Emirati Traditions
Alongside exhibitions and family activities, the Centre will offer specialised guided cultural tours led by multilingual Cultural Tour Specialists in Arabic and English. These tours examine the mosque’s Islamic architecture, artistic craftsmanship, and humanitarian message while introducing visitors to Eid Al Adha traditions and Emirati customs.
“The tours also place special emphasis on Eid Al Adha and its significance in Islam, highlighting associated rituals, traditions, and practices — including Hajj and the values of unity and fraternity it embodies among people of different cultures.”
Visitors will also learn about Eid al-Takbeerat, the spiritual significance of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, and cultural traditions such as Eid al-Fitr gifts and family gatherings. In addition, the tours feature exclusive routes granting access to spaces typically reserved for private experiences.

The Centre further enhances accessibility through “Al Daleel,” an augmented reality multimedia guide available in 14 languages. As a result, visitors from diverse cultural backgrounds can engage with the mosque’s architecture and heritage through interactive digital storytelling.
The mosque welcomes visitors daily from 9 am to 10 pm, while the “Sura” night tours operate from 10 pm until 9 am throughout the Eid holiday period.
