All fitness enthusiasts in the area, fasten your shoelaces because Dubai’s legendary fitness event, the Dubai Marathon 2022, is returning in December.
The 22nd edition of the popular run will take place on December 10, 2022.
It is even more exciting for the runners as the event is taking place for the first time after it was held in January 2020, before the coronavirus pandemic.
The Marathon is Middle East’s largest mass participation event which attracts international athletes in large numbers and takes place across Dubai’s prominent landmarks like Burj Al Arab.
The event in 2020 saw over 25,000 runners take to the streets of the UAE in the Dubai Marathon and after a two-year hiatus, the event is expected to see registrations in large numbers this year.
With preparations underway for the event, participants will be able to choose between the full marathon as well as a 10km run and a 4km Fun Run.
As the event was prominently known to take place on Friday, it is for the first time in the 22-year history that the run will take place on a Saturday, after the new UAE weekend took effect in January.
The event, which will take place after two years, has caused a wave of joy among runners, as it will rekindle their excitement after a long time of inactivity due to the global epidemic.
