In March, as part of the WOW Summit 2022, Dubai will host the largest international NFT & Digital Arts Festival in the GCC region. It will feature a “alternative reality” exhibition with NFTs by the world’s top digital artists, curated collections from established and new marketplaces and galleries, and special initiatives devoted to Metaverse and contemporary digital art in virtual worlds. The festival will take place at the Burj Park, a nearly 10,000-square-meter location in the heart of Dubai.
The exhibition “Alternative Reality” is devoted to the impact of blockchain technologies and related phenomena on the evolution of contemporary art in the digital world. Daria Lomova, the show’s art advisor and organiser, invited more than 20 artists from 14 nations to participate, resulting in an international exhibition.
Participants in the art market have focused their attention on NFT’s possibilities. Digital artists and creators, some of whom have been working digitally for over 20 years, now have a tremendous instrument to market their work. Simultaneously, authors working in traditional media adapt their works for display in virtual environments, either by changing the medium or combining techniques.
The World of Web3 Summit, produced by GuyWay events, will take place in Burj Park from March 13 to 16. Its goal is to raise Web3 technology knowledge among the local community and international visitors. The WOW Summit’s second edition will investigate the phenomenon of “Alternative Reality” in light of recent Blockchain industry advances.
The exhibition’s NFT artworks are divided into five primary themes, each depicting one of the most hotly debated problems in the Web3 world and economy: Metaverse, DeFi, Sustainability, Generative Art, and the Future. Collectibles, GameFi, and VR objects will all have their own areas. The WOW Summit will be the only place to buy the NFTs developed specifically for the show in limited quantities.
