A group of 100 Saudi fashion designers will present their work this month in New York City’s the center of American fashion for a fortnight.
The Saudi Fashion Commission states that the artists will create a work that best depicts the nation’s history and culture as part of the Saudi 100 Brands project, which unites 100 apparel and accessory designers from all over the Kingdom.
From a pool of 1,500 artists, the group headed to New York City to exhibit their creations. The exhibition, which is a part of a larger, year-long initiative to mentor Saudi designers and give them opportunities to exhibit their work, will be divided into eight categories: ready-to-wear, modest, concept, premiere, demi-couture, bridal, handbags, and jewelry.
The selected designers are mentored one-on-one and attend educational sessions on subjects including design, innovation, marketing, and sales strategy throughout the course of the year.
The show will run in New York’s Flatiron neighborhood from July 26 until August 7.
